a lot of people emailed me about this post, asking if i could share some more simple activities to engage your little one with. so this series titled, mini mondays, will be just that, simple, easy activities that you can do with your little one.
in warmer weather, we usually wake up and head to the park to get both holden and our pup some exercise. but now that jack frost is visiting us every morning, we spend our mornings indoors. holden loves to draw and paint so our very first activity of each day is usually some sort of art project. here is an easy way to keep your little one occupied while you make breakfast and enjoy your coffee or tea.
WHAT YOU DO:
1. cut open paper grocery bags you have around your house
2. tape them together
3. turn them over so that the blank side is facing up
4. put dollaps of washable paint (we use this kind) in different corners
5. let your little one go to town
and the best part of this project is that to clean up, all you have to do is fold up the paper and toss it in the trash. holden was pretty good about keeping the paint on the paper, but there were a few moments when he decided to paint the oven, the dishwasher, and my leg, so make sure that you use washable paint for this activity.
