although it was never a priority or desire in the past, it seems that we have gone fruit picking in almost every season since holden has been born, from peaches to pomegranates to apples, it's becoming somewhat of a tradition for our little family.  it's fun to watch holden discover the different fruits that grow in trees and let him pick his own fruit that he can eat right then and there.  over the weekend, we headed out into the country to a u-pick farm that grew peaches, nectarines, and apricots (alongside a giant pepper field that was grown specifically for subway).  we walked up to get our bucket and begin picking and like it was right out of a movie the farmer said, "you're not from around here are you?"  we just can't help but feel that any occasion calls for oscar de la renta.  (my mother did always tell me that it was always better to be over dressed than under dressed).  we are getting creative with the different summer activities that will keep a cast-bound toddler entertained and happy, and peach picking seems to be one of his favorites so far.
